Day 81

Good, good day :)


Breakfast with the beautiful Allisha a TeeJay's (Buckeye pancakes!!), grabbed a cappuccino at Crimson Cup (an extra good one!), class, swimming with Jesse, Jenna - and memorizing the states....omg so boring!, nap, Japanese steakhouse with Lizzie, and then hanging out with T-ra and Lizzie in la cabana!


Today I used Smarties to make the dots, acrylic paint, glitter, and duct tape!!

Day 80

I love only having two classes this quarter - it is amazing!  I got to have a relaxing morning and then I had class, with Mr. I-hate-marketing-students, and had to walk home IN THE SNOW (yes...this is for real), eat a delicious salad, and then pick up Jenna.  After Jenna I applied for jobs and relaxed before going swimming with the lovely T-ra!  It was great :)  


I made this with a hole punch and scissors...I like to think of it as "spring" snowflakes...like we had today...

Day 79

I didn't have the best "waking up from my alarm day"...I woke up at 9:57 for a doctor's appointment at 10...luckily I made it in time! And I woke up to a text message for small group...21 minutes after group had started :/  But I did get in a good workout today!


High:  Chilling with Tara and Elizabeth after small group and watching their hip-hop moves!


I made rice krispies - BLUE rice krispies!  And put marshmallows on top for dots!!

Day 78

First day of my last quarter at OSU - how crazy is that?  Only two classes this quarter - and during my first one the prof said he "hates marketing majors...so everyone better be a logistics major" and then he proceeded to ask us who was a marketing major.  Needless to say, I did NOT raise my hand....what was he thinking?  I plan on sitting in the back...trying not to fall asleep...and not raising my hand in hopes that he doesn't figure me out...haha


Anyways, I got to workout with Lizzie today (we did a spinning class - it was hard!) and then Leah and I went to Giant Eagle Market District (my favorite grocery store ever!!!) and I applied for lots of jobs...fun fun fun


High:  Grocery shopping with Leah - for two reasons:  1) Giant Eagle Market District is freaking amazing! and 2) Leah is freaking amazing and I don't get to hang out with her near enough!


I have this really super great idea for a project but I can't seem to find a "Bulb Guard" in order to make it...so I haven't been able to yet :(  But I did get to decorate my schedule!  With highlighters :)

Day 77

I got to run with Maggie today (a portion of her 18 mile run - she's an all-star!) and it was great...and hard.  And then I got to hang out with T-ra and finish my plaster frame and lots of cool stuff.  And then I got to go to church.  

I experimented with Illustrator again...I'm still getting used to it...

Day 76

I got to have lunch with Lindsay and Hannah today and it was wonderful - I really love hanging out with her!  And then I ran some errands, worked on my plaster frame, and did apartment stuff before picking Mags up for dinner...we went to a Polish restaurant and it was amazing!  I had pierogies and they were delish but they also had paprikas on the menu and the cookies that my grandma makes!  I didn't know my family made Polish food!


I used some cool safari themed papers and Sharpies today...

Day 75

I couldn't sleep last night and so I ended up not getting out of bed until noon, so it wasn't the most productive day :/  But I did get to hang out with the lovely Erica for dinner at Mimi's (SO GOOD!) and shopping at Polaris (where I did very good and didn't buy very much!)...and have a great phone convo with Emily :)


Tonight while I watched some episodes of Full House (season 4) I made my piece....I used a tack (I got this idea from a blog...but I can't remember which blog) and then put it in the frame that I made yesterday!

Day 74

Long day....I did a lot of apartment cleaning and room organizing (thought I would make spring break somewhat productive), planted my mint plant (thanks Gram!), and hung up some artwork...


My piece for today is using these glass pieces that I found at my parent's house and a black frame...

And this little one has been quite needy for attention today....

Day 73

Breakfast at Breakfast Plus(?) which was a delicious skillet with tomatoes, mushrooms, and bacon :)  Then the farmer's market (for a PAIN AU CHOCOLATE!!!!! Brings me back to Paris!!) and back for a quick nap, lunch, and some pool time before packing up and flying home.....


I'm tired and I'm really sunburnt and it's late so today's is kind of lame...but I had sun poisoning so I had to make it worth something, right?

Day 72

Pool time in the morning then after lunch I took a wonderful nap on the beach (and in the process got fried :( but it happens)...and then we had a delicious dinner!  Scallops, asparagus, potatoes, delicious salad, and white chocolate creme brulee.  Delish!

Day 71

I love the beach and warm weather and taking naps in the middle of the afternoon and not setting an alarm.  It's amazing.


We had lunch at Quinn's (cuban sandwich!)...where there were a bunch of NFL players (who I didn't know...haha), pool/nap time, and delicious crabcakes for dinner followed by some bananagrams :)


I used Happy Tape :), Sharpies, and cut up magazines...

Day 70

Slept in, walked with mommers to NeeNee's for breakfast (banana chocolate chip pancakes with PEANUT BUTTER on top! - it was SO GOOD!), pool time, dinner, finally finished Wicked, and then painting with pops!

Day 69

SLEPT IN!  Like for real slept in!  Then lunch by the pool, walked to the art show, napped and read and laid out by the pool, glass of white wine for toddy time, delicious Italian dinner (including a Cosmo and Chianti) and more reading (Wicked is really good!)...


Because I'm so caught up in my book, I just used Crayola markers today...

Day 68

I enjoyed the wonderful Marco Island sunshine today :)


Chocolate chip pancakes and strawberries for breakfast, a five mile beach walk (during which I saw some of my swimmers!!!), nap, lunch, pool, nap, read, nap, pool, toddy time (MOJITOS!), dinner at Sasso's (delicious corned beef and cabbage and French onion soup), and then some delicious ice cream for dessert :)


I used HAPPY TAPE, a ticket stub, cutouts from a magazine, Sharpies, and a tag...

Day 67

After watching a Beautiful Mind last night with Tara, I slept in late and then went on a run in the beautiful 60 degree weather :)  Then I packed, enjoyed an iced tea spritzer (melon and peach - delish!) and headed to the airport.  Columbus to Cleveland to Ft Meyers where my grandparents and mommers were awaiting my arrival :)  Drove to Marco and checked out my pops' sweet artwork (he's really good!)!


The piece I did for today is fused glass....I think this is my favorite one.  I did multiple layers with the first layer being opaque glass, the second layer being translucent colorful glass, and the last layer being stringers and frit of barely noticeable colors - it is clear but I took the picture on my bedspread which is blue...

Day 66

I finished my finals!  Although I'm really sad that my glass class is done :(  I really loved that class!  Although I am glad that I won't have to deal with Barbie for awhile!


After my final crit I watched Jenna and then went to an amazing Mexican restaurant with JTT, Allison, and Mags - it was delish :)  Followed by MONOPOLY DEAL!  Love it!


I added some more to my inspiration/prayer board....it's still not done though but I want to wait and add some later...

Day 65

So today I got to sleep in and then I went to unearth my glass Barbie and make a plaster Barbie.  Glass Barbie is missing her arms and legs but at least her torso and head look cool!  And plaster Barbie keeps falling apart...hopefully she can make it until tomorrow at 1:30!  Then I watched Jenna, made a Funfetti Barbie, made a clay Barbie, and then went to small group where we played "The Game of Things" and then came home for MORE Barbies!

Day 64

So today I...


1) Finished finals (basically...) :)

4)  Made a play-dough Barbie that was an epic fail...

5)  Made a blue raspberry jello Barbie...that is still a work in progress (keep your fingers crossed!)...

6)  Dressed my microcrystalline Barbie..doesn't she look nice?

7)  Ate a Tootsie Pop from this nice bag :)

8)  Attempted to clean up my original Barbie...which is covered in wax..

9)  Made a frame...with paint pens...

Day 63

Chocolate chip pancakes (delish), KSBC, Little Mexico II, drove home (with a McD's DC pit stop), Target run, Crimson Cup with Allisha, homework/finals studying :(

Day 62

Slept in, watched Jake's basketball game (he did really good - they almost won!), ate lunch (sushi salad - delicious!), nap, dinner of croque monsieur and kir and creme brulee and avocado/grapefruit salad, watched Frozen (the worst movie ever!) and Life as We Know It by the fireplace :)

Day 61

Slept in, did a lab for marketing, wrote SEVEN pages of a 10 page paper (I was impressed with myself!), drove to West Lafayette (with a McD's DC pit stop) while listening to my loves Mumford, PEANUT BUTTER PIZZA at Bruno's with the fam, watched Purdue lose :) (sorry!), opened birthday presents (thanks Mom and Dad-o!), showed them my glass projects, watched White Collar, and attempting to go to bed :)


I decided to make my peanut butter pizza my art...I was going to artfully arrange the chocolate chips but it was just too hard to take my time....but it's so beautiful anyways...haha!

Day 60

Took my first (and only real) final this morning, then a Target run for ink and play-dough, glass class (more fusing!), a glass critique, Jenna, some fantastic thumb wars, dinner with Ashton at Sloopy's (including red velvet cake!), and hanging out with T-ra in my room :)


I used play-dough (leftover from the play-dough Barbie that I'm making)...

Day 59

Do you know the book "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day?"  

Well, my day was sort of like that...but worse.  And it was raining.  Now not to be a party pooper here, but let's be realistic, it was.  And then I realized that I have a final tomorrow...smart Heike didn't look at her calendar earlier this week.

My roommates cooked me a wonderful breakfast (the only good thing that happened today) then I had class, worked on my microcrystalline Barbie, Jenna, swimming, and studying.

I used acrylic paints....in the colors for how I was feeling...

And the bag is from the Timmons yesterday - dots!

Day 58

1)  I made 4, yes 4, wax Barbies today...that all broke, had holes in them, or were gunky and watery....so I finally made a microcrystalline one (and I haven't opened the mold yet, so who knows!)


2)  I got to make like 5 fused glass pieces!  My teacher said to use up the glass - and I did that!


3)  A bird pooped on me - not once, but TWICE


4)  It was warm :)


5)  I had to listen to the Justin Bieber cd...on repeat....three times...


6)  I received an encouragement video from my friend Ryan and it made my day!


7)  I had breakfast with Gennie and hung out with Maggie


8)  I went on a run this morning - outside!


9)  Border's is closing (which is sad) but everything is on sale!!!


10) Since I really wanted to write down ten things, I got an amazing birthday cake from Jenna and her fam!

Day 57
